Report: Spurs reject bid for in-demand £70k-a-week player
Tottenham Hotspur are reported to have rejected a bid from Milan for right-back Serge Aurier, according to .
The Italian giants, who have been linked with the defender in recent days, are said to have made an opening offer, but Spurs are reported to have rejected it.
The outlet claims that Tottenham and Milan remain in talks over a potential switch for Aurier, but the two parties remain “some way apart” in their valuations.

The defender is also reported to be on the radar of Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, though it does not appear as though they’ve made an approach at this stage.
Aurier moved to Tottenham in 2017 from French giants Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth around .
His contract, worth a , runs until the summer of 2022.
To date, the Ivory Coast international has made in all competitions for Spurs, including 42 last season.
Aurier was omitted from the starting line-up for the opening matches of last season under Mauricio Pochettino but has thrived under new boss Jose Mourinho.
However, speculation linking the 27-year-old with a departure from North London has increased in recent weeks.
TBR View:
Right-back is arguably Tottenham’s most pressing area in terms of reinforcements, with Aurier finishing the campaign as the only senior recognised player in that position.
However, some of his performances over the course of the season came for criticism by sections of the Spurs fanbase, with inconsistency and errors still affecting some of his displays.
With Wolves right-back Matt Doherty to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, it looks as though there could be changes in personnel in that area very soon.
