Spurs have made another bid for Cristian Romero that they have told Atalanta that it may be their last for the defender.
Tottenham are continuing their pursuit of the Argentinian. Of course, one major hurdle seems to have been cleared already.

It was previously reported that Romero had agreed personal terms with Spurs. According to Fabrizio Romano, he is ready to pen a contract until 2026.
However, a fee is yet to be agreed for the 23-year-old. , Spurs may now be ready to take one last shot at getting a deal across the line.
Their report states that Tottenham have now bid up to around £47 million for the centre-back.

Interestingly, they have also informed the Serie A side that the offer could be their last.
Spurs surely will not let Romero slip through their grasp after making £47 million bid
Fabio Paratici may perhaps look at the stance as a tactic to try and ensure that Atalanta accept an offer.
For them, it is a huge amount of money for a player actually only currently on loan with them.
So it may prove a masterstroke from Spurs to suggest that they may make no further bids.
However, it is a gamble. As noted by Calciomercato. It, Barcelona also want Romero.
Spurs are willing to pay £47 million. This is clearly a player they desperately want. It would therefore, be a big surprise should they walk away now.
The good news is Atalanta reportedly want £47 million for Romero. So the two clubs cannot be far away.
Perhaps the structure of the deal has been the sticking point. But Tottenham will be hoping that the latest bid and the threat that they may potentially walk away will lead to a breakthrough.
