Report: Spurs leading race for 6ft 1in striker with 12 top-flight goals last term, £18m price tag
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly leading the race to sign Metz striker Habib Diallo, according to .
The French outlet claims that a move to England for the 25-year-old striker is “without a doubt” and Spurs are frontrunners, with Metz earmarking Ibrahima Niane as his replacement.
Last month, Diallo’s agent Thierno Seydi told Senegalese outlet : “Already last January, there was an offer from Tottenham.

“Now he has received an exit offer and, as soon as the European markets open, (his departure) should be settled.”
Diallo enjoyed a bright 2019-20 season for the Maroons, and claiming three assists in 26 games as they survived their first season back in Ligue 1.
The 6ft 1in forward has been linked with numerous English sides over the past year, including Leeds United, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Chelsea, according to .
The above report, published in late March, also claimed that Metz valued their striker at 20m Euros (around £18million).
TBR View:
Diallo has been impressive for a limited Metz side that won the Ligue 2 championship the previous year, often racing onto through balls and finishing clinically.
Spurs, meanwhile, are in need of bolstering their attacking ranks, given the injury crisis up front which left them without a senior forward prior to the season being temporarily halted.
While Diallo may not be a marquee name which causes a buzz around N17, he’s certainly proved himself in the French top flight and could be a good option for Jose Mourinho.
