Report: Spurs launch new bid for ‘unbelievable’ player, now just £5m away from signing him

Tottenham Hotspur have made a £15million bid for Adama Traore, according to .

However, Wolves are believed to have rejected the new Spurs offer.

Traore has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium throughout the January transfer window.

In fact, it has previously been suggested that he is the player most likely to end up moving to Spurs.

Traore has been unable to agree a new Wolves contract, despite several meetings with the Molineux club.

As his deal expires in June 2023, the January window is one of his club’s last chances to sell for a decent fee.

Spurs, meanwhile, have reportedly identified Traore as a priority signing in this transfer window.

Antonio Conte is apparently keen to deploy him as a wing-back as he puts his own stamp on the club.

The Telegraph claim Tottenham’s £15million bid has been turned down by Wolves.

They apparently want £20million for the former Barcelona youngster.

Can Tottenham land “undefendable” player?

Traore joined Wolves for a then club-record £18million from Middlesbrough in 2018.

The Spain international, who has won eight caps thus far, has had a relatively quiet season in the Premier League.

His first goal contribution came in the 3-1 win against Southampton on Saturday.

However, Traore’s game has developed. He’s pressing much more and thinking more about his decisions when in possession.

The 25-year-old is a high-calibre player who Jurgen Klopp has called ““ and Jack Grealish has deemed ““.

If Spurs pull this move off, it’ll be exciting to see what Antonio Conte will do with him and how much his game can progress even more.
