Report: Spurs’ Jack Clarke wanted by Leeds’s two Championship rivals

Tottenham Hotspur winger Jack Clarke is wanted by Brentford and Fulham in January, with Spurs set to recall their £11 million signing from Leeds United, .

Clarke has endured a tough time since returning to Elland Road after completing a summer move to Tottenham. He has made just one Championship appearance this season and has often struggled to make the matchday squad for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

TBR View – Clarke being recalled may not hurt Leeds, but future loan could

While Clarke being recalled by Spurs may not hurt Leeds too much, his next move could certainly have an impact on Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Both the Cottagers and Bees are in promotion contention in the Championship. They both find themselves in the play-off places and will be eyeing up a run of form that will close the gap to the top two.

Leeds know how dangerous Clarke can be. He was outstanding when he burst onto the scene at a similar stage of last season.

If he can rediscover that form in the second-half of the season, the Spurs youngster could be an inspired signing. And Leeds fans would be forgiven for being concerned about Clarke coming back to haunt them should he join another second tier side.
