Report: Spurs have monitored Weston McKennie as Southampton talks continue
Tottenham Hotspur are amongst the Premier League sides that may feel a little disappointed if Weston McKennie joins Southampton this summer, that Jose Mourinho’s men have also shown an interest in the midfielder.
ESPN reports that talks between the Saints and Schalke regarding a potential move for the USA international are continuing.

It is suggested that Southampton are leading the race, but discussions over a potential £20 million switch are moving slowly.
And it will be interesting to see whether those slow-moving talks prompt one of their Premier League rivals to make their own bid for the 21-year-old.

that Spurs are amongst those to have monitored McKennie recently. Everton and Newcastle have reportedly also looked at the youngster in the last couple of months.
TBR View: Spurs making late move for McKennie may come as surprise
McKennie looks to a real talent. So perhaps there may be a late move from one of Southampton’s rivals should talks drag on.
But Tottenham making a late offer arguably looks unlikely.
Jose Mourinho has added Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to his ranks this summer following a switch from the Saints.
Of course, he may still wish to add further depth before the season starts. But there appears to be bigger issues for Tottenham to resolve in other areas of the pitch first.
