Report: Spurs could sign ‘absolutely sensational’ centre-back for £5m less than previously claimed
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in pursuit of Joachim Andersen and, according to Sky Sports, he could cost Spurs – or any other suitors – less than previously claimed.
The 24-year-old centre-back, who is on loan at Fulham from Lyon, has been sensational this season, so much so that he’s been handed the captain’s armband on multiple occasions.
Spurs, meanwhile, have had an inconsistent season, with outstanding displays offset by some really poor performances.

The north Londoners’ back line has been particularly shaky for much of the campaign, and signing someone like Andersen could go a long way to addressing these issues.
claimed in April that Lyon – who have made big losses over the past 18 months – would accept around £25million for the Denmark international.
However, has now reported that the Ligue 1 side value Anderson at £20million.
TBR View:
Andersen has done so well at Fulham that club legend Tony Gale described him as “absolutely sensational” and suggested he’s the best defender at Craven Cottage since Brede Hangeland.
Given the Cottagers have been relegated, it’s extremely unlikely that Andersen will stay there – and Spurs really ought to go all out for him, as there’s bound to be a lot of interest.
