Spurs could reignite their interest in Ajax coach, Erik Ten Hag, after seeing a deal for former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte fall through last night.
Widespread reports late last night claimed the deal for Conte was now fully off the table. A number of issues, including Conte’s demands and the immediate future of the club, were said to be causing issues.
It leaves Daniel Levy now back at square one in his search for a replacement for Jose Mourinho. And with time running out to land one of the big names out there, Levy may now go back in for Ten Hag.

That’s according to . They suggest Ten Hag could be targeted again, while another move for Mauricio Pochettino is also not off the cards.
News of Conte’s snub will not affect the club’s appointment of Fabio Patarici this summer. The former Juventus supremo is still set to join, and could even play a part in hiring the new manager.
Ten Hag being linked again comes just days after Fabrizio Romano suggested he was no longer being considered. However, the fluidity of this whole situation means that the situation may well have changed again.
Ten Hag to Spurs back on? The club are looking desperate now
This is turning into a little bit of a mess for Spurs now really. First Nagelsmann, then Rodgers, and now Conte. They just don’t seem to be able to get a deal over the line.
Turning back towards Ten Hag would smack of desperation in a way. Especially given he signed a new deal with Ajax when Spurs’ initial interest was registered.
Daniel Levy needs to get this right and he needs to get it right quickly.
Failure to do that could well spell trouble for the club in terms of recruitment, keeping Harry Kane, and the start of the new season.
