Report: Southampton show interest in Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury
Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury is on the radar of Premier League rivals Southampton,
The tough-tackling midfielder is being lined up as a replacement for Pierre-Emile Hojberg who signed for Tottenham last month.
Choudhury played 29 games in all competitions for the Foxes last season but has slipped down the pecking order somewhat at the King Power Stadium.

The 22-year-old has played seven times for the England under-21 ranks and could make a useful addition to the Southampton team.
Ralph Hasenhuttl will hope to bolster his squad further before the transfer window slams shut during the first week of October.
So far, Kyle Walker-Peters has made his loan permanent and defender Mohammed Salisu has checked in at St Mary’s Stadium from Real Valladolid.
The Saints finished in 11th place last season, which after a chaotic start, proved to be a decent enough finish tot he campaign.
Hasenhuttl oversaw a 9-0 thrashing by Leicester in October and to bounce back from such a drubbing is testament to the manager and his players.
Choudhury was an unused substitute that night and it’s fair to suggest that he might earn more frequent first-team football if he was to make the move south.
TBR View – Choudhury could thrive under Hasenhuttl
The Southampton boss has a knack of getting the very best out of younger players and his squad at St Mary’s is relatively young.

Choudhury would complement a crop of young talent nicely and he’d be a nice replacement for Mario Lemina who has joined Fulham.
The youngster has 37 Premier League appearances under his belt but with Leicester in Europe next season they may look to target better midfielders.
Signing for Southampton looks like a nice fit and it could give Choudhury the chance to really kick-start his top-flight career.
