Report: Southampton and Nottingham Forest want Chelsea’s Marc Guehi
Southampton and Nottingham Forest are amongst a group of Premier League and Championship clubs interested in signing Chelsea defender Marc Guehi on loan in January, .
January is shaping up to be a crucial month for the likes of the Saints and Forest – but for very different reasons.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men have moved three points clear of the Premier League relegation zone. But it would be a big surprise to see them not strengthen their options in January.
Meanwhile, Forest are just three points off the Championship play-off places. Sabri Lamouchi’s men have lost three of their last five games and will be hoping that they can start to get back on track before the window opens.

that both clubs want Chelsea youngster Guehi. But they are joined by Norwich, Swansea and Bristol City in the running to take him on loan.
The 19-year-old has made two first-team appearances for the Blues this season. And he is now featuring regularly for England’s under-21s having only made his debut in August.
TBR View – Where should Guehi go?
It will be interesting to see where Guehi would prefer to go if he is given the chance to leave. A move to one of the Premier League sides may be tempting. But it will not be easy to shine with the two clubs boasting the joint-worst defensive record in the top flight right now.
Heading to the Championship could prove to be an inspired step. On paper, he is likely to enjoy more game-time. And he would be forgiven for wanting to take a similar path to teammate Fikayo Tomori who spent last season on loan with a second tier promotion-chaser and is now in the first-team fold at Stamford Bridge.
