Report: Some Tottenham players already concerned about Nuno Santo
Some Tottenham players are already unhappy under the management of new manager Nuno Espirito Santo, according to a report from
Spurs lost out to Arsenal yesterday in what felt like a crushing defeat and blow for Santo and his team. At times, they looked lost and Santo even said afterwards that he was confused as to what had happened.

And worryingly for Santo – and Tottenham in general – claims that some players are already getting fed up. They report that players within the Spurs squad ‘aren’t that impressed’ and see him as ‘the worst of Mourinho, but without the medals’.
Those comments are deeply concerning for Spurs and Santo. They’ll also concern Daniel Levy, who opted to go with Santo after falling short on a number of other managerial targets.
Santo will be desperate to put things right. But with no wins in September after three in August, things have changed quickly. The Portuguese coach could well do with an even quicker change in the other direction.
TBR’s View: Santo right to have Tottenham pressure but what about the players?
How many managers are these players going to need? Pochettino, Mourinho, and now Santo. And under all three, they’ve won nothing.
Sure, they got to the Champions League final and climbed the league table a bit. But they remain trophyless, and a team of losers, in reality.
So while Santo might not be the most adventurous coach, some of these Spurs players need to look at themselves. It seems so easy for them to pin the blame on the manager, rather than themselves.
