Report: Sheffield United in pole position to land Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster on loan

Sheffield United are reportedly in pole position to land talented young Liverpool forward Rhian Brewster.

, the Blades have held talks with the Reds about taking the 20-year-old for the 2020/21 season.

Brewster is currently taking part in pre-season with Liverpool, and yesterday starred against Salzburg by scoring a brace, meaning he now has three in two matches.

The England youth international spent the second half of last term on loan Swansea City, where he scored 10 goals in 20 Championship matches, helping the club into the play-offs.

Brewster is one the highest-rated youngsters on Liverpool’s books, and it could be that the club loan him out again with Roberto Firmino firmly established as the main striker at Anfield.

Brewster is also being tracked by Leeds United, Newcastle United, Fulham and Crystal Palace according to the report.

90min say Liverpool want Brewster to be playing regularly next season, and one would imagine he would get plenty of minutes under Chris Wilder at Bramall Lane.

The Blades are yet to add any attacking reinforcements this summer, and landing Brewster would certainly be a great way to start.
