Report shares what Spurs are planning for Ryan Mason once new manager joins

Tottenham Hotspur believe that Ryan Mason should be part of the new head coach’s staff next season, according to .

The 29-year-old was handed the Tottenham reins on a caretaker basis last month after the club sacked Jose Mourinho.

Mason has led the Spurs first team to two consecutive Premier League wins, and there are renewed hopes that Tottenham can secure European football this term.

claims that Spurs want to go back to something more like the Mauricio Pochettino era, with individual coaching sessions for players, a positive style of play, and a sense of alignment and unity within the club.

Appointing Mason has helped to start this reunification process given he is so popular with the players and also loved by the fans, added the outlet.

And Tottenham reportedly feel that Mason – who has “an authority beyond his years” – should be part of the new manager’s staff, although it remains to be seen in what role.

Given how popular Mason is amongst the players and fans, not to mention his good work so far and great potential, it almost seems like a no-brainer to have him involved as part of the first-team coaching staff.

And it’s also great to hear that Spurs are reportedly going for a Pochettino-style head coach – it definitely suggests that the Mourinho appointment was a mistake, but at least they’re looking to rectify it.
