Report shares Liverpool’s Jadon Sancho and Kylian Mbappe stance

, Liverpool are in the running to sign Jadon Sancho but are reluctant to get involved in an auction for his signature, with landing Kylian Mbappe said to be their ultimate ambition.

The Telegraph suggests Sancho is set to leave Borussia Dortmund with relations between himself and the club now strained. It is suggested that this season could prove to be his last in Germany.

He has a host of clubs interested in signing him. The Telegraph suggests that Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona are amongst the sides in the running.

The report adds that the Reds are also interested in the £100 million-rated star. However, it is noted Jurgen Klopp’s men do not want to get involved in an auction for Sancho.

And it is suggested that Liverpool have an even more ambitious name on their wishlist. , the Premier League leaders would love Mbappe, but accept that the cost of any deal makes a move incredibly unlikely.

Sancho would certainly be a fantastic consolation if a deal for Mbappe is, indeed, unattainable. The 19-year-old has scored four goals and provided six assists in 10 Bundesliga games this season.

That is a remarkable return for a player said to be discontent and somewhat out of form. And if Klopp could get him back on track, he would arguably be an inspired addition.

But if Liverpool let the chance to sign Sancho pass them by, perhaps the fans can hold out some hope that the club believe that something even better may be on the cards further down the line.
