Report shares Hugo Lloris stance on Nice move

Nice have made Hugo Lloris their top transfer target for the summer, that the Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper is open to rejoining his former club.

Most Spurs fans appear to be in favour of Lloris remaining in North London beyond this season. And crucially, Antonio Conte feels the same way.

He has reportedly told the Tottenham skipper – – that he wants him to sign a new contract to stay next term. And previous reports have suggested that there is quiet confidence that Lloris will indeed sign a new deal.

However, reports in France have hinted that an agreement may actually be a lot further away.

that Nice want to bring the 35-year-old back in the summer. In fact, it is suggested that he is their top target.

And interestingly, the report claims that Lloris is open to making the move.

Of course, Nice will be able to open talks in a matter of days with his contract expiring in the summer. So that may leave Tottenham feeling the pressure to ensure that an extension is sorted.

Hugo Lloris in position to demand assurances from Tottenham before signing new contract

There were times previously when it appeared inevitable that Lloris would leave before reaching this stage of his Tottenham career. His form seemed to dip for some time.

However, he has been outstanding over the last 12 months. And keeping him would now be deemed a big boost.

But Tottenham do still have to consider their long-term plans. And with that, Lloris may now want some assurances over what role he will play next season.

Conte reportedly wants him to stay. So he may get the answers that he is looking for. But clearly, if there is a question mark over his role at Tottenham, perhaps the move to Nice will appeal a little more.
