Report shares Chelsea’s asking price for Spurs target Antonio Rudiger

Chelsea value Antonio Rudiger at £20 million, but Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of landing the centre-back have been dealt a potential blow that the Blues would prefer to offload him to a club overseas.

Rudiger has reportedly come onto Spurs’s radar as the transfer deadline looms. this week that Jose Mourinho is keen on the Germany international as he looks to strengthen his centre-back options.

And Chelsea are prepared to let the 27-year-old leave. He is yet to be involved for Frank Lampard’s side this term. And ESPN reports that talks have been held over his future in recent days.

The report adds that Paris Saint-Germain want Rudiger on loan. Meanwhile, Tottenham are monitoring him in case they miss out on Milan Skriniar.

However, that Chelsea are wary of allowing the defender to join a Premier League rival.

TBR View: Rudiger could be a shrewd signing for £20m

It will alarm plenty of Spurs fans that Rudiger looks to be out of the picture at Stamford Bridge. He is a player who has made a few mistakes since arriving in England.

And of course, signing Skriniar should remain the priority for Mourinho. But with ESPN claiming that Inter want almost £55 million, a deal will be difficult to agree.

Rudiger may not be a game-changing signing for Spurs. But for £20 million, it may not prove to be a bad piece of business either.
