Report: Sevilla struggling to afford loan deal for Sergio Reguilon
Sevilla remain in talks to sign Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham Hotspur, but that they are struggling to even be able to afford a loan deal for the left-back.
Reguilon would be one Spurs player who it would not be a surprise to see leave in the final weeks of the summer window.

The 25-year-old was missing from Antonio Conte’s squad for the pre-season tour of South Korea. And they have bolstered their ranks with the signing of Ivan Perisic.
It does appear that La Liga may be Reguilon’s most likely destination. And reports have suggested that Reguilon could make a return to Sevilla.

The Spain international spent a season on loan with Julen Lopetegui’s men before his move to North London. Unfortunately for Spurs, Sevilla’s sporting director Monchi is looking to do a deal on similar terms.
that they want Reguilon on loan. However, they are struggling to be able to fund a deal. It is noted that his net earnings are £49,000-a-week.
Sevilla struggling to afford Reguilon loan
It is ominous that Sevilla are struggling to afford a loan deal for Reguilon. However, Tottenham will surely feel that getting him off the books is better than keeping him and not using him.
Reguilon is a ‘brilliant‘ player. But it seems that he is simply not right for Antonio Conte’s system in North London.
His value could rise considerably if he finds the right loan move and thrives elsewhere. And obviously, Tottenham can then demand a hefty fee should they sell him next year.
If no-one is prepared to sign him permanently this year, that may be the best option.
So it may be best for Sevilla and Spurs to agree a loan deal for Reguilon.
