Report: Sevilla have made final bid for Sergio Reguilon in last few hours

Sevilla have made one final bid to sign Sergio Reguilon in the last few hours in the hope that Tottenham Hotspur will lower their demands for the left-back, .

Reguilon remains a Spurs player despite it seeming abundantly clear that he is not in Antonio Conte’s plans for the coming season.

Reports recently claimed that the 25-year-old had told friends that he was close to joining Sevilla. However, the Premier League left-back Julen Lopetegui seems to be closest to signing is actually Alex Telles.

that Sevilla are in advanced talks to sign the Manchester United man.

Reguilon actually remains their top target in that position. And with that, Sevilla have now made a last-ditch approach for the Spurs star.

The coming hours are reportedly crucial as they wait to learn if a deal could be possible. Previously, Tottenham’s demands priced them out of a move. Reports suggested that Reguilon’s asking price is around £25 million.

Sevilla meanwhile, had offered to take the defender on loan with an option to buy.

Sevilla made final attempt to sign Reguilon

It will do no-one any favours if Reguilon remains at Tottenham this coming season. Unfortunately for the Spain international, Antonio Conte appears to prefer the likes of Ryan Sessegnon and Ivan Perisic in that left wing-back role.

Obviously, Spurs should not sell him on the cheap. But getting him off the books in some capacity has to be the priority.

And if a loan to buy is the best offer they receive, then letting Reguilon return to Sevilla may make the most sense. Ultimately, any loan which leads to Reguilon’s value rising is a decent option.

Reguilon has played for Sevilla under Lopetegui. It may therefore, be the perfect move if Tottenham are struggling to find a buyer for this window.
