Report: Several clubs contact West Ham to sign two-cap player, exit-bound man not keen on transfer
Flamengo are one of several clubs to have contacted West Ham United to discuss a move to sign Felipe Anderson this summer, according to .
The Brazilian faces an uncertain future at the London Stadium after producing an underwhelming season on loan with Porto. He failed to score and recorded one assist over a mere , starting five, for the Liga NOS giants.
Anderson is also entering the final year of his contract at West Ham, signed after a then club-record move from Lazio in 2018. And as such, clubs have begun to sound out the chances of the 28-year-old leaving.
Anderson’s situation will become clearer once he returns to West Ham for pre-season training next month. The possibility of the Irons cashing in on the Brazil international is high but could yet extend his contract.
Flamengo are one of several clubs to have approached the Hammers to see if Anderson would be available for a transfer. However, the Brazilian side would be unable to afford West Ham’s terms and have not advanced their interest.
Anderson would also prefer to remain in Europe if his futures does lie away from east London. The winger left Brazil in 2013 to join Lazio and spent five years with the Serie A side before moving to the Premier League.
He could now secure his European stay by returning to Italy after West Ham offered Lazio an €8m (£7m) deal. Galatasaray have also shown an interest in the forward after missing out on the Super Lig title on goal difference.

Luckily, Lazio Sporting Director Igli Tare is interested in taking Anderson back to Rome after he was transfer listed. West Ham must now make a deal with the Biancocelesti their sole focus in order to offload the Brazilian’s vast wage.
David Moyes is unlikely to welcome Anderson back into his squad at West Ham next season. The winger’s tepid efforts at Porto failed to show any reason why he would deserve a second chance in east London after sinking like a boulder.
