Report: Seven teams want Everton loanee Nikola Vlasic for £13m

that as many as seven teams from around Europe want to sign Everton playmaker Nikola Vlasic in the summer.

Signed by Ronald Koeman from Hajduk Split for a fee believed to be in the region of £8million, Vlasic struggled throughout the 2017-18 campaign. He managed just 19 appearances in all competitions.

A Croatia international, Vlasic needed game time and he was loaned to CSKA Moscow. He has since shone with regular game time for the Russian side, scoring eight and creating five more in just 25 appearances.

He has even scored against Real Madrid in the Champions League group stages to win 1-0, before providing an assist in the 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu.

His future at Everton looks unlikely, though. Everton have plenty of options out wide, especially after bringing Richarlison and Bernard to the club in the summer. Ademola Lookman and Theo Walcott are also on the books.

The report claims he can be purchased for around £13million, with Italian quintet AC Milan, Napoli, Inter Milan, AS Roma and Atalanta, Zenit St. Petersburg and CSKA interested. He has a contract until the summer of 2022.

TBR’s view

Letting Vlasic go after the season he just had at all would be a disaster. But letting him go for a fee of just £13million is an even bigger one.

Yes, he struggled at Everton but he has shown in the Champions League he can be the match winner against Real Madrid. Surely Marco Silva has to give him a chance before coming to any conclusions.
