Report: Serge Aurier open to PSG move this summer

According to reports from France, Spurs defender Serge Aurier would be open to a move to PSG this summer, amid continued interest.

According to French publication , Aurier would be interested in leaving Spurs this summer, with PSG his ideal destination.

Aurier has been linked with a move to PSG for some time now. Links go all the way back to January, but even as close as March, claimed that Aurier was of interest to new PSG boss, Mauricio Pochettino.

Any move for Aurier would represent a return to his former club. Spurs paid over £20m to bring the Ivorian to North London but his time with the club has been riddled with inconsistent form and rash red cards.

Aurier could be one of a number of players who leave this summer. With Jose Mourinho gone, a lot will depend on who the new manager is, meaning Aurier might look to seize the moment and get out while he can.

TBR View: Spurs can afford to sell Aurier, he’s simply not that good at times

There won’t be many Spurs fans crying if the club do sell Serge Aurier. On his day, he can be a very good right back. But he doesn’t have enough of those days and his inconsistent displays are infuriating.

A move might be good for all parties here. If Spurs can land some money, then that’s a bonus for them. Likewise for Aurier, he might fancy rebooting his career a bit at a club he knows well.
