Report: Schalke want Liverpool striker as part of Ozan Kabak deal
Schalke think Liverpool will make a bid for defender Ozan Kabak in January and according to , they’ll ask for Divock Origi to be included in any deal.
The Turkish centre-back is set to be a wanted man and Liverpool are in need of a defender after injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.
Kabak is thought to be valued at , although including Origi in the deal could see them fork out a smaller sum.
The 25-year-old was an unused substitute once again as Liverpool beat Crystal Palace 7-0 at the weekend.

He has managed just two cameo appearances from the bench in the Premier League this season for the reigning champions.
With that in mind, it seems highly likely that he will depart in January and Schalke’s interest could be telling.
Liverpool have a plethora of attacking talent but are in urgent need of reinforcements at the back.
Kabak has played for Schalke, Galatasaray and VfB Stuttgart during the early stages of his career and looks a bright prospect.
With Van Dijk and Gomez likely to be considered the first choice when they return to fitness, a young option in the short-term makes a great deal of sense.

Liverpool need a defender and Schalke are desperate for a talisman so as a result, this suggestion makes plenty of sense.
Origi has been a loyal servant to Liverpool and proved a big-game player in recent years, with Klopp labelling him last year.
He has fired 35 goals in 147 appearances and his brace in the 4-0 win over Barcelona in the Champions League won’t be forgotten in a hurry.

With some talented youngsters emerging through the ranks, Origi’s chances have been restricted.
If Klopp needs to use the striker as a bartering chip then it’s definitely something he should look at in order to land Kabak.
The young Turkish defender is big, strong and could be just the player to ensure Liverpool maintain their grip on the Premier League title.
