Report says Takumi Minamino is ‘looking sharp’ in training, could he thrive for Liverpool when football returns?

has some exciting news for Liverpool fans regarding their January signing Takumi Minamino. 

, Liverpool paid Red Bull Salzburg £7.25 million for the Japan international after he impressed in Champions League outings for the side against Liverpool this season. 

So far, Liverpool fans have failed to see the best of Minamino, as he takes time to adjust to his new surroundings on Merseyside. 

However, from Liverpool’s most recent training session suggests the Japanese playmaker is ready to make a mark. 

It is claimed that the 25-year-old ‘was looking sharp’ in training and impressed the likes of Jordan Henderson and James Milner in the session. 

Liverpool fans can indeed be hopeful that this enforced break has in fact helped Minamino. 

It appeared he had come into the Liverpool team like a rabbit in the headlights and struggled to emulate his best form during his fleeting appearances. 

However, he has now had more time to settle into life in England and some of that pressure has now eased dramatically. With no fans set to be in attendance, Minamino can also play in complete freedom when he does get a chance for Liverpool again. 

It could be he is about to finally showcase his best talents in a Liverpool shirt.
