Report: Ryan Fraser jets into Newcastle for Steve Bruce talks over potential move
Newcastle United are reportedly close to striking a deal with free agent Ryan Fraser about a possible move to St James’ Park.
The 26-year-old is available to sign this summer on a free transfer following his exit from Bournemouth, who were relegated from the Premier League to the second-tier.
, the Magpies were “very close” to an agreement with the attacker earlier this week, but he’s now holding further discussions with manager Steve Bruce about a move.
The report explains that the Scotsman has arrived on Tyneside for those talks and he jetted in on the private jet of Newcastle owner Mike Ashley.
Fraser is a speed machine that wasn’t at his best last season, scoring one goal and supplying four assists in 32 games across all competition.
But the left-winger showed his top-flight pedigree the year before, scoring seven goals and supplying four assists in the 2018/19 Premier League season.

TBR’s View:
If Newcastle aren’t going to be spending lots of money in this transfer window, then snapping up Fraser on a free looks like it could be a great signing for them and one that can boost their options going forward.
The wide man has certainly got the ability to be a success at St James’ Park and he should be coming to an age where he starts maturing.
Newcastle already have lightning pace in their attack with Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron, so they will be a defence’s worst nightmare when they add Fraser to that as well.
