Report: Roma have bid for Clement Lenglet, amid interest from Spurs and Arsenal
According to reports, Roma manager Jose Mourinho now wants to sign Spurs and Arsenal target, Clement Lenglet, and has even made a bid.
claim that Roma have lodged a bid in the region of £15m for the Barcelona man. However, that is believed to be below the £21m valuation the Catalan club hold for Lenglet.
Just last week it was claimed that Spurs were one of the more likely clubs to land Lenglet. Arsenal, too, are also said to be keen on the Frenchman.

The 26-year-old is on a long list of Barcelona players who can leave the Camp Nou this summer. Barca’s crippling debts are forcing them to sell a number of stars. Lenglet, then, is among them.
But any hope Spurs might have of landing Lenglet could be scuppered by former boss Mourinho. The new Roma manager is trying to strengthen his own ranks, and is keen on the Barcelona player.
Lenglet, who has 13 caps for France, moved to Barcelona from Sevilla. He was a regular last season, appearing more than 30 times for Ronald Koeman’s men.
Bidding war to start?
This is exactly what Barcelona want really. If they’re to sell players, they want a number of clubs interested so that they can get the best deal.
Spurs are working on deals for a number of players. It’s how Fabio Paratici works, as we are becoming all to aware of. Whether Lenglet is one he is deadly serious on, remains to be seen.
For now, it looks like Roma’s bid will come short of Barca’s asking-price. The question now is whether Spurs go back with more now the bidding is under way.
