Report: Richarlison could make Tottenham return next week
Tottenham Hotspur appear to be on the verge of receiving a big injury boost, that Richarlison is expected to return to training this week and could feature for Antonio Conte’s side before the World Cup.
Richarlison has missed Spurs’ last five games due to a calf injury. In that time, Conte’s men have endured a really mixed run of form. They have won two and lost two. Remarkably, they have conceded first in all five of those games.

That may not be down to Richarlison being absent. But there is no question that having him back in the side will provide a big lift to Tottenham ahead of the break.

And it seems that his return will indeed be imminent. that he is expected to be back in training before the end of the week.

The Premier League clash with Liverpool will seemingly come too soon for the former Everton man. But Goal adds that the Carabao Cup tie with Nottingham Forest has been earmarked for his potential comeback.
Richarlison’s return has come at the perfect time for Tottenham. Dejan Kulusevski has been sidelined for some time. And Son Heung-min had to come off during the first-half of their Champions League tie with Marseille on Tuesday.
Richarlison has made a bright start to life at Spurs. He had to bide his time before he got his chance. And he has gone on to produce a couple of big performances along the way. He has been labelled an ‘amazing‘ player since his move.
Obviously, it is a strange time to come back from injury. But Richarlison has a point to prove with the World Cup just around the corner.
Goal notes that he is almost certain to be in Tite’s squad for Qatar. But he will know that a late goal or two may go a long way in deciding how big a role he plays in the tournament.
