that Motherwell are in talks to re-sign Rangers winger Jake Hastie this summer, after Steven Gerrard informed the young winger that he can go on loan this summer.
Hastie, 22, joined Rangers on a free transfer in the summer of 2019 after breaking into Motherwell’s senior side and clocking up seven goals in 18 senior outings. He played just two times for Rangers before being loaned out.
The Scotland Under-21 international went on loan to third-tier English side Rotherham United and he scored three goals in 16 games – before returning to Ibrox in the January window.
But with Ianis Hagi signed permanently and other signings expected at Ibrox this summer, Hastie has been informed he can leave on loan for a second time – and Motherwell are in talks to bring him back to Fir Park on loan.

TBR’s view – Motherwell loan perfect Rangers apprenticeship
That is because Motherwell have qualified for Europa League qualification. The Well finished in third place this season, which gives Stephen Robinson’s side the chance to reach the group stages.
Playing in Europe gives Hastie the chance to show Gerrard and Rangers that not only can he score goals and impress in the Premiership – but also on the European stage. It is a no-brainer for all three parties involved.
