Report: Rangers tracking £5m Serie A star, has asked current club ‘to be sold’

that Rangers are still interested in signing Bologna attacker Andreas Skov Olsen. The Denmark international has been long admired by those at Rangers, even during Steven Gerrard’s era as manager.

Skov Olsen, 22, has been struggling for confidence at Bologna this season. While he has clocked up 16 Serie A appearances for the Italian, the 15-time Denmark international has only started four times for Bologna.

Indeed, he is yet to complete an entire 90 minutes for Bologna in the league. In his 69 games for Bologna, he has only netted three goals – a stark contrast to his form at Nordsjaelland, where he clocked up a huge 27 goals in 51.

said in 2020 that Gerrard was eyeing the winger. Now, it appears that Gio van Bronckhorst has kept the interest in Skov Olsen alive – with the £5million () signing asking Bologna is he could ‘be sold’.

Rangers eye Skov Olsen: van Bronckhorst needs additions out wide

With the Gers qualifying for Europe after the Christmas break, having multiple options on the flanks is important. Ryan Kent and Ianis Hagi start, with Joe Aribo being used as a 10. But Rangers need better depth.

Scott Wright and Scott Arfield supply that cover. That is, while Fashion Sakala and Kemar Roofe can be used there – but are better up front. The drop off from Kent and Hagi to the other options is considerable. Skov Olsen solves that.
