Report: Rangers star wanted by Everton, Newcastle and Southampton

Rangers face a battle to keep Glen Kamara at Ibrox this summer, that a number of Premier League sides want the midfielder, who could also attract a £10 million bid from elsewhere.

According to 90 Min, Everton, Newcastle United and Southampton want Kamara, who has proved to be an inspired signing for Steven Gerrard’s men.

Meanwhile, 90 Min adds that the Rangers star is attracting attention from Dynamo Kiev and Dinamo Moscow. The pair are reportedly preparing bids and could be willing to offer up to £10 million.

Interestingly, the report suggests that the Light Blues are unlikely to be in a position to turn down a substantial bid for the 24-year-old.

that Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Norwich City and Brentford are also interested in the Finland international.

TBR View: £10m bid would surely divide Rangers fans

It remains to be seen how Rangers will respond if they are offered £10 million for Kamara. It is also unclear if the likes of Everton, Newcastle and Southampton are willing to go anywhere near offering that sort of fee.

Should an eight-figure bid arrive, it would not be a surprise if Rangers fans were left divided. Some would surely be keen to see that sort of offer accepted.

Kamara has been outstanding for much of his time at Ibrox. But his form has also dipped at times. And having paid just £50,000 to sign him (), anything like a £10 million sale would see Rangers make a substantial profit.

However, others may be less keen to see him sold.

Interest from the likes of the Toffees, Magpies and Saints highlights just how talented he is. And replacing him is not going to be easy for Gerrard – even if his transfer kitty receives a £10 million boost.
