Report: Rangers star has £33k-a-week, five-year offer on table from Champions League club this summer
that Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has been offered a five-year deal by Champions League side Porto. The Portuguese outfit reached the quarter-finals of the competition last term. Now, they want to sign Morelos, and have offered him a contract until June 2026.
Morelos, 25, has been in stunning form for Rangers under the guidance of Steven Gerrard. While he did not score as many goals as he has done in the past last season, he still netted 17 – and laid on 13 assists. The Colombia international was often seen dropping deeper to connect the play.
That has attracted Porto. The Liga NOS side are preparing for another Champions League group stage campaign having finished second in the league. They need a striker – and an offer worth £33,000 a week until 2026 is on the table. They are ready to pay between £8.5million and £10million.

How much is a fair price for Rangers to sell Morelos to Porto?
Morelos is a top player and he might well want to remain at Ibrox in order to shine in the Champions League under Gerrard. But for £10million, Rangers would be selling him on the cheap. Rangers have got to request at least £15million – especially as they are under no pressure to sell.
He still has two years left on his contract at Ibrox. So, a fee of £15million would be fair – even if it is £10million up front with achievable add-ons to reach that figure. While he remains an excellent player, he is not as crucial to Rangers as he was when Gerrard first joined as manager.
