Report: Rangers one of many sides interested in Olympiakos left-back Konstantinos Tsimikas
that Rangers are one of many sides interested in signing Olympiakos left-back Konstantinos Tsimikas ahead of the January transfer window.
Five-time Greece international Tsimikas, 23, has played every single minute of Olympiakosfive Champions League group stage matches this season. Appearing against Bayern Munich, Tottenham and Red Star Belgrade.
He even laid on an assist for his side in the 3-2 defeat to Bayern, as the Greek champions came close to causing an upset. Nevertheless, his form has been noticed and many European clubs are interested in nabbing his signature.
Turkish heavyweights Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are battling it out for Tsimikas, while Rangers, French clubs Nice and Rennes, Serie A outfit Fiorentina and German side Werder Bremen are all interested. He has a contract until the summer of 2022.

TBR’s view Tsimikas a brilliant signing, but harsh on Borna Barisic
Indeed, the Croatia international has been in stunning form for Rangers this season. He has finally shown the Gers support why Steven Gerrard wanted to buy him last summer, producing plenty of assists but remaining defensively solid.
Tsimikas a Champions League left-back would expect to start should he move to Glasgow with Rangers. He has shown plenty of quality in the Champions League and would be very good competition for Barisic.
Surely, though, Rangers would be better off spending money elsewhere rather than signing a player that is just as good as Barisic? It remains to be seen what Gerrard looks to do regarding Tsimikas.
