Report: Rangers make Florian Kamberi bid involving Greg Docherty

Rangers have lodged a bid for Florian Kamberi which would involve Greg Docherty, once again, leaving the Gers on loan, that the offer may not be good enough to get a deal across the line.

Kamberi spent the second-half of last season on loan at Ibrox. And while his statistics perhaps do not jump off the page – he scored one goal for Steven Gerrard’s side – there is no question that he made a positive impact for the club.

Unsurprisingly therefore, Rangers appear to be keen to bring Kamberi back ahead of next season.

that Rangers want to take Kamberi on another loan, and they have offered Docherty to Hibernian as part of the deal.

The report notes however, that Hibs may not be too happy about the offer. Kamberi’s contract at Easter Road expires next summer, so the club would prefer to sell him permanently during this window.

TBR View: Bringing Kamberi back could be shrewd move for Rangers

It remains to be seen whether Rangers manage to bring Kamberi back. But it does appear that it would be a good piece of business to secure his return.

He was excellent at times last season. And it does appear that he can play in a variety of roles across the forward line.

Some Rangers fans may be disappointed to see Docherty offered out again.

So it will be interesting to see what the future holds for him should Hibs decide that they are not willing to loan Kamberi out.
