Rangers are interested in Jack Butland, that Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men are weighing up a move to bring the Premier League goalkeeper to Ibrox this summer.
The Gers may have to replace a club legend in the coming months. Of course, doubts remain over whether Allan McGregor will carry on. His introduction in the final moments of the Scottish Cup final seemed potentially significant.

And it seems that one of the names on their radar if McGregor does hang up his gloves is Butland. that Rangers want the 29-year-old. They are battling with newly-promoted Bournemouth for his signature.
The report suggests that there are doubts over his future at Crystal Palace. He did play nine times in the Premier League this past season. However, he has tended to be Vicente Guaita’s backup at Selhurst Park.

Palace are looking to sign Sam Johnstone, who has been linked with Rangers. And his arrival would surely push Butland closer to the exit.
Rangers interested in Jack Butland
Butland’s career has been turbulent. When he came through at Birmingham, it appeared that another superstar between the sticks had been uncovered.
However, his time at Stoke City saw his form dip. And he has not played for England since 2018.
His time at Palace has seen Butland’s stock start to rise a little more again. But some Rangers fans may have their doubts if he was the man to potentially fill McGregor’s shoes at Ibrox.
Rangers do have Jon McLaughlin. So that would take some of the pressure off of Butland. But obviously, the next goalkeeper they sign could have a huge task.
Interestingly, Joe Hart would probably back Butland to be a success. He was once labelled his international teammate ‘‘. And he backed him for big things while he was at Stoke.
Perhaps they will be Old Firm rivals from next season.
