Report: Rangers have Lawrence Shankland and Rhian Brewster on their Alfredo Morelos replacement shortlist
One of Steven Gerrard’s more difficult transfer issues at Rangers this summer will be keeping Alfredo Morelos at Ibrox.
The Colombian goal-machine has been linked with a host of clubs in England, France, and Italy recently and Rangers know they have a task on their hands keeping ‘El Bufalo’ out of other club’s grasp.
But Rangers are already compiling a list of players they might consider signing should Morelos leave this summer.
, Rangers boss Gerrard and director of football Ross Wilson have a shortlist of potential transfer options in the striker position.
Ivan Toney, Lyndon Dykes, and Marko Maric are on that list, but two other options stand out more.

Lawrence Shankland and Rhian Brewster are said to be potential targets.
The report claims that Rangers have scouted Shankland regularly whilst a loan deal for Brewster, who Gerrard knows from his time at Liverpool, is also mentioned.
Shankland scored 28 goals in 33 games for Dundee United last season and also scored his first international goal for Scotland.
Brewster has just finished a loan spell at Swansea City after the Welsh club exited the Championship play-offs. Brewster scored in a losing effort against Brentford, taking his tally to an impressive 11 goals in 22 games for the Swans since joining on loan in January.
Both clearly know how to score goals and Rangers would be right to try and lure either player to the club this summer.
Whether either man could replace Morelos would certainly be up for debate.
