Report: Rangers eyeing forward rated highly by Marcelo Bielsa, Ibrox values him at £5.4m
Glasgow Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is reportedly eyeing Kemar Roofe as a prospective signing if Alfredo Morelos leaves Ibrox, according to .
Morelos has enjoyed another prolific season at Rangers overall, registering 29 goals and 10 assists, though the bulk of those came in the first half of the season.
Despite his loss of form, he remains linked with “a host of English and European clubs”, while Qatar outfit Al-Duhail are also eyeing a potential £15million swoop, claims the .

In case Morelos does leave, claims that Gerrard will turn his attention to Anderlecht attacker Roofe, who has scored seven goals and claimed three assists in 16 appearances .
The 27-year-old was unlucky with injuries, missing the start of the season with an ankle knock and then picking up a calf strain during a mid-winter friendly against Livingston in Spain.
However, the report says that Roofe has failed to live up to expectations since arriving in Belgium, suggesting Anderlecht could be open to moving him on.
The Belgian outlet claims that £15million would be enough for the Ibrox club to part with Morelos.
Around £9million of that fee could be spent on signing Roofe, though Rangers’ valuation of the former Leeds United man is closer to around £5.4million, added .
TBR View:
Roofe may have endured a difficult maiden season at Anderlecht but he is undoubtedly a top player with a proven track record in British football.
He scored 32 goals in 122 games for Leeds and was highly rated by Marcelo Bielsa, who admitted last August that he couldn’t “be happy” to see the attacker leave ().
Roofe – who can play on the wing, in attacking midfield and up front – was actually linked with Rangers last summer, though the Glasgow club lost out to the Belgian side in the end.
It wasn’t a great season for Anderlecht, who failed to even qualify for next season’s Europa League after an eighth-place finish in the top flight.
Rangers could give Roofe European football, while Roofe could give the Light Blues goals, energy, work rate and versatility up front – if Morelos leaves, he’d certainly be a decent replacement.
