Report: Rangers and Celtic-linked 22-year-old enforcer’s club needs money, £2m price tag
Glasgow rivals Rangers and Celtic may have just have been handed a transfer boost with regards to reported Ibrox and Parkhead target Dejan Ljubicic, according to .
Earlier this month, the reported that the Rapid Vienna midfielder, 22, is on the radar of both Steven Gerrard and Neil Lennon, and is rated at £2million by his parent club.
However, Ljubicic appears to be a man in demand – English sides Brentford and Southampton, plus clubs in Germany and Russia, are also said to be interested.

has now reported that Eintracht Frankfurt are one of the German clubs interested in Ljubicic as a potential successor for 36-year-old enforcer Makoto Hasebe.
The German outlet also claimed that Rapid “needs money”, presumably given the impact of the global health crisis on the football industry, so they could be forced into selling their assets.
TBR View:
With Ljubicic’s contract running until next summer, plenty of clubs being linked with his services, and his club reportedly being strapped for cash, it looks increasingly likely that he’ll move this summer.
A young, tall holding midfielder with great passing range and reading of the game who has also been deployed at centre-back, Ljubicic has impressed in his 23 appearances this season.
Despite his young age, he has already clocked up 100 appearances for Rapid, but with all things considered, he could well find himself on the move – quite possibly in either the green and white hoops, or in the light blue.
