Report: Ralf Rangnick battling Arsenal and Tottenham in £51m race to sign 24-year-old sensation

Ralf Rangnick is battling Arsenal and Tottenham in attempt to raid Leipzig and bring Christoper Nkunku to Manchester United.

Nkunku, 24, is arguably one of the most in-form players in European football at the moment. In 20 games, he has been involved in 22 goals.

That is, despite the France international playing on both flanks, as a 10 or even up front on occasion. He has scored 13 goals, and laid on nine assists.

Strangely, only five of his 13 goals have come in the Bundesliga. It is in the Champions League where his form is breathtaking, scoring seven in five.

That form has obviously not gone unnoticed by the big guns in the Premier League. Rangnick wants him at Manchester United, from his old club.

But the new United gaffer faces competition for Nkunku. It is believed Arsenal and Tottenham are also keen. Nkunku is rated at £51million.

Arsenal, Tottenham or Rangnick: Nkunku is a bargain at £51million

Not only is he one of the best players in Europe, and in the Champions League, but Nkunku’s age and versatility makes him a bargain.

£51million for a player that can play anywhere in attack. He has even been used in central midfield and as a wing back during his Leipzig spell.

At 24, he is only going to get better – and he boasts incredible delivery from set-pieces. All in all, £51million is a bargain. Who needs him most?

While Tottenham and Arsenal are trailing United, given Rangnick – it is fair to say that Nkunku improves all three clubs no matter what they have.
