Report: PSG hoping to keep Everton’s Moise Kean, willing to sell Mauro Icardi to make room

PSG are reportedly willing to let Mauro Icardi leave the club as they look to make room for Everton star Moise Kean and Barcelona legend, Lionel Messi.

claims that the French giants are willing to lose Icardi, thanks in part to the form shown by Kean.

The Italian striker, who had struggled at Everton, has made a big impact in Paris and claim PSG supremo Leonardo could look to keep Kean, either permanently or on another loan deal.

Of course, Everton would need to agree to any sale or loan move in the first place. Carlo Ancelotti has previously said the door is well and truly open for Kean to return to Goodison if he does well in France.

He’s certainly done well, in that sense. He’s scored 11 goals in just 19 Ligue 1 games as he looks to finally fulfil the massive talen which saw Everton shell out a big fee for him in the first place.

Icardi, meanwhile, could be on his way out less than a year after joining permanently. He’s said to be on huge wages at PSG, with suggesting he was on £200k-a-week during his initial loan spell in 2019.

TBR View: Everton may want Kean back but could he push for a move?

The problem Everton and Ancelotti face when it comes to Moise Kean is that he’s clearly found his happy place in Paris.

It remains to be seen whether he can bring that back to Goodison but given he’s playing, scoring, and has a chance at Champions League glory, you can understand why he might want to stay in France.

The good news for the Toffees is if they do sell, they’ll at least get a big fee in return given how well Kean has done.
