Report: PSG considering Arsenal’s Aubameyang as potential Cavani replacement
Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly eyeing Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a potential replacement for the exit-linked Edinson Cavani.
, the French champions are lining up an ambitious loan move for the Gabonese talisman, with an option-to-buy.

£55 million signing Cavani’s () immediate future has been speculated over frequently in January, with his contract running out in the summer.
He’s been linked with a host of clubs, including Atletico Madrid and Chelsea, having made just 14 appearances in 2019/20.
Apparently Aubameyang is a player PSG like, although a move mid-season for the Gunners’ captain would surely be very unlikely.
The star is hugely important for Arsenal, and has proven to be a goal machine since joining in January 2018, with 57 strikes in 91 appearances.
TBR’s view – Reject and move on
The decision should be very simple for Arsenal.

Arsenal only have faint hopes of finishing in the top four this season, but sanctioning Aubameyang’s departure would effectively make the task impossible.
He’s proven so important since his arrival, and his goals would be extremely difficult to replace.
Letting him go on loan would make zero sense for the club, but thankfully the star did recently seem to suggest he won’t seek to leave the club this window ().
