Report provides update on Valencia’s talks with Liverpool target Ferran Torres
Liverpool may have received a big boost in their reported pursuit of Ferran Torres, that Valencia’s attempts to tie the youngster down to a new contract are not progressing as much as Los Che would like.
that the Reds are tracking Torres. It was suggested that Jurgen Klopp’s men have been monitoring the 20-year-old, particularly when he has played in the Champions League this season.

that his contract at the Mestalla expires in 2021. But Valencia were optimistic that they could agree fresh terms with the forward.
However, Marca has now suggested that the La Liga side may not be in such a strong position.

, talks have not progressed despite the two parties being in discussions for eight months.
The report notes that Valencia may be heading for their last throw of the dice as they look to keep the 20-year-old – whose current contract apparently includes a £89 million release clause.
And should they be unable to agree a new deal with Torres, they will look to sell him this summer.
That, of course, could be good news for Liverpool. But the Daily Mirror noted that Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also interested in the starlet.
So there will be plenty of work for Klopp’s men to do – even if Valencia decide that they have no choice but to let him leave this summer.
