Report: Manager could take over at PL club and try to sign ‘brilliant’ player from Tottenham this summer
Former Tottenham manager, Mauricio Pochettino, wants Manchester United to sign Harry Kane if he becomes the Old Trafford club’s new manager in the summer.
Pochettino is once again being tipped to take over at United, with pressure already mounting on Ralf Rangnick and United’s players apparently calling for ‘Poch’ to be the next man in the managerial hotseat.
Currently with PSG, Pochettino is on shaky ground in France and hasn’t quite managed to win over the hearts of either the fans, or some of PSG’s star names. He is widely expected to leave the club in the summer, with another managerial change for the French giants incoming.

And now, according to , Pochettino wants to bring his former Tottenham striker Kane to Manchester United if he is appointed manager. The report claims that Kane’s strong relationship with Pochettino, coupled with his links to a number of United players in the England squad, could tempt him to the north west.
Daniel Levy played hard-ball last summer when . Levy held out for around £130m, while City ended up spending their £100m on Jack Grealish instead.
Kane is England’s all-time leading goalscorer, a feat which led to Gareth Southgate to the striker as ‘brilliant’ at the back end of last year.
TBR’s View: Kane To Manchester United Feels Too Late
There is an air of the Alan Shearer about Kane and Manchester United. As we all know, Shearer signed for Newcastle and went on to miss out on a wealth of trophies. Kane is in a similar boat with Spurs. He loves the club, but just isn’t winning things.
But in reality, a move to United almost feels out of sync. The Red Devils are hardly challenging for honours themselves and Kane, who will be 30 next, seems to have missed the boat a bit.
Sure, he’d be a great signing for United. But at £100m +, is he really the answer? We aren’t so sure anymore.
