Report: Pochettino set to beat Tottenham, Arsenal and Tuchel in race for 22-year-old, £198k-a-week deal

that Mauricio Pochettino’s Paris Saint-Germain are set to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma. The AC Milan goalkeeper is out of contract this summer, and has been linked with three Premier League clubs – including Tottenham and Arsenal.

Donnarumma, 22, has already earned iconic status at Milan – having broken through the Serie A’s academy into the first team. He has since clocked up a whopping 251 appearances for Milan, keeping 88 clean sheets. But the 26-time Italy international’s contract is due to expire at the end of the month.

this week that Pochettino’s PSG were battling Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma and Juventus. Premier League trio Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea are also keen. However, Di Marzio claim PSG are set to win the race for Donnarumma – and sign him on a free.

The report says Donnarumma has said his goodbyes and that within the next 24 hours, he will pen a PSG contract. Di Marzio claims Donnarumma will sign a five-year deal at PSG, worth £198,000 a week – a big increase on current salary. The English trio will have to look elsewhere.

Tottenham really needed Donnarumma, Arsenal too as Pochettino and PSG win race

Hugo Lloris has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Spurs and looks set to go. Bernd Leno is struggling at Arsenal, and he could leave. So both North London clubs could really have done with Donnarumma. But titles and money have won the race.

Indeed, Donnarumma will be signing a huge contract and is in line to win trophy after trophy with PSG. Such a move probably ends his chances of coming to the Premier League at least until he reaches his late twenties. A shame, especially for both Spurs and Arsenal.
