Report: Pochettino looking at £18m-rated 66-capped Tottenham ace as potential summer signing
Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG are reportedly exploring the option of signing Tottenham defender Serge Aurier in the summer transfer window.
, the Ligue 1 giants are keen to sign a right-back in the transfer market this summer, with both sporting director Leonardo and club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said to be ‘unanimous’ in their decision to bring back Aurier from north London after nearly four years with the Premier League side.

Aurier, who is valued on at £18m, made over 80 appearances for PSG in his three seasons with the club before moving to Tottenham as a replacement for Kyle Walker in the summer of 2017, yet after the signing of Matt Doherty last year, the right-back position at Spurs has been contested throughout the campaign, with both players playing close to 2,000 minutes of football.
A 66-capped international with the Ivory Coast, Aurier has just one year remaining on his current contract with Jose Mourinho’s side, and with no recent news of a new deal set to be drawn up for the former Toulouse defender, it appears that this summer could see the defender depart Tottenham and potentially reunite with Pochettino.

TBR View: PSG return would be a win-win for all parties
Aurier’s time in north London has been somewhat underwhelming after arriving with plenty of hype from Paris for a reporter transfer fee of £23m , and with just one year left of his contract, Spurs would do well to recoup some funds for a player playing in a position that could be improved on.
At 28-years-old, as well, Spurs can use the potential sale of Aurier to invest in the right-back position for a younger player to not only compete with Doherty but also to develop in the role for years to come.
