Report: Paratici held talks yesterday over offloading £14.5m Tottenham player

Tottenham Hotspur defender Japhet Tanganga continues to be linked with a move away from Spurs.

The 23-year-old burst onto the scene in 2019-20, but he is yet to become a regular for Tottenham.

In 2020-21, Tanganga made just 13 appearances for Spurs, while last season, he had 19 outings.

The defender was part of the Tottenham travelling contingent for their South Korea pre-season tour.

Antonio Conte reportedly wanted to take a close look at him before deciding on his future.

Now, it looks as though the Spurs boss has made his decision.

According to , Fabio Paratici held talks over Tanganga with AC Milan on Thursday.

It was a ‘summit to understand the conditions’ of a potential deal.

Di Marzio also claimed ‘Milan would be getting the player on loan with an obligation to buy’.

And Paratici reportedly also discussed the futures of Tanguy Ndombele and Sergio Reguilon.

They are ‘no longer in Conte’s project’, added the report.

Could Tanganga go for £14.5m?

Earlier this week, Corriere dello Sport – via – reported about the potential finances involved.

The Serie A ‘ hierarchy is aiming ‘to find an agreement’ to present to Spurs in pursuit of a deal.

The belief is that the loan itself ‘shouldn’t cost more than a couple of million euros’.

And for the final purchase of Tanganga, ‘the investment would not go beyond €15m’.

This would suggest a package of around €17m, or £14.5m, for the defender.
