Reports in early June seem to indicate that the Reds were openly looking to get rid of the centre-forward. It was suggested Origi was transfer-listed, alongside Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic.

TBR View: £15m to £20m not enough for Origi amid Liverpool stay claims

Origi has enjoyed what can only be described as a strange career at Anfield.

He’s virtually been a back-up throughout his time at Anfield, however, has some real stand out moments for the club.

There are plenty of times in the past few seasons to show he should be commanding a fee higher than the suggested.

The former Lille man scored a pivitol winner in the December 2018 Merseyside derby, a goal that always enters you into Liverpool folklore.

He then went on to score a crucial brace in a 4-0 win over Barcelona that same season. That was swiftly followed by the second goal in the 2-0 victory over Tottenham in the Champions League final.

It was enough to see the club offer him a five-year deal, which secured both his future and value.

The centre-forward has earned legendary status, even after playing such a bit-part role at Anfield.

And when you consider that face the club sold Dominic Solanke for , the reported asking price is low.
