Report: Odegaard seen yelling at Ben White as Arsenal beat Liverpool
Martin Odegaard was seen yelling at Ben White during Arsenal’s win over Liverpool on Sunday, with the skipper keen for the defender to push forward at one stage, .
The Gunners are most definitely doing all they can to put themselves in the Premier League title conversation. They returned to the top of the table after a dramatic 3-2 win over the Reds at the Emirates.

Arsenal had to battle. Liverpool levelled the game on two occasions. But in many ways, the way Mikel Arteta’s men managed to get themselves the three points proved to be more significant than if they had blown Liverpool away.

Something special is happening at Arsenal. The team spirit looks to be on another level. And with that, standards have improved dramatically.

Certainly, it appears that the squad is prepared to demand more of those around them. And that came across in one moment during the win over Liverpool.
, Odegaard started yelling at White as he was not in the right position as Liverpool prepared to take a throw-in deep inside their own half. He wanted the right-back pushing forward and helping box the visitors in.
It came at a time when the Reds were growing into the game in the first-half. And the Norwegian wanted Arsenal to start stamping their authority on the contest once again.
Odegaard is not necessarily seen as the most vocal leader. The likes of Aaron Ramsdale and Granit Xhaka will usually be the ones to make sure that their voices are heard out on the pitch.
But clearly, there is a reason why Odegaard has been such an inspired choice as skipper. He sets the standard. And he has been so important to the progress the Gunners have made in the last couple of years.
In previous years, the captain yelling at another player would probably be seen as somewhat confrontational. But there does appear to be an understanding at Arsenal that they have to get the best out of each other.
And thus, White probably had no issue with Odegaard’s demands in that moment.
