Report: Nottingham Forest expected to complete Neco Williams deal
Nottingham Forest are expected to complete a deal to sign Neco Williams from Liverpool this week, that talks over a £16 million move are at an advanced stage.
Williams has attracted plenty of attention this summer. He impressed during a loan spell with Fulham towards the end of last season. Unsurprisingly, Marco Silva wanted to bring the 21-year-old back to Craven Cottage in this window.

However, he looks set to miss out.
that Forest have moved ruthlessly to sign Williams from the Reds. Steve Cooper’s men are hoping to pay an initial £16 million for the youngster. The fee could ultimately rise to £20 million.

Williams meanwhile, is looking forward to the chance to work with Cooper. And thus, personal terms are not expected to be an issue.

Forest faced an extremely tough task in this window. Obviously, Djed Spence played a massive role in their promotion to the Premier League.
However, the youngster was on loan at the City Ground. And it seems that he is now on his way to Tottenham Hotspur in the coming days.
It is a blow to miss out on Spence. But signing Williams in his place certainly has the potential to be a masterstroke.
His ceiling looks to be incredibly high, with his performance levels kicking on in the last couple of years. He is also capable of playing in both full-back roles if required.
Williams has been described as a ‘superb‘ player. And Forest are building an extremely exciting side with Cooper at the helm.
So a move definitely looks to have the potential to work out extremely well for all parties.
Well, all except Fulham.
