Celtic star Ryan Christie has emerged as a summer transfer target for two Premier League clubs,

Norwich City and Burnley are the pair linked with a move for the player who is free to enter contract negotiations with new clubs this summer.

Christie has scored seven times and registered 14 assists this season but could form part of a summer exodus at Celtic Park.

The Hoops have failed to win the Scottish Premiership title for the first time in 10 years and changes are required.

Currently, supporters are waiting to discover who will be the man tasked with replacing Neil Lennon and it’s a decision that looks massive.

Celtic are keen to recoup a transfer fee for their star man with the Premier League duo thought to be circling.

Christie has scored 40 goals and claimed 40 assists in 140 outings for the Hoops and his departure might be a blow.

He has showcased his versatility during his current campaign. The 26-year-old has featured on the right, in the No.10 role and as a central midfielder.

That level of versatility would make him an ideal addition to the Norwich or Burnley ranks and both look set to make their move.

Brendan Rodgers raved about Christie during his time at Celtic.

Speaking in 2018, he told “He has a personality needed to play for the big clubs and he has a big-game personality. He’s come in today and scored an absolutely brilliant goal and impacted two others.”

TBR View: Christie could be a hit in the Premier League

With Celtic perhaps looking to make some changes in the summer, now could be the perfect chance to make his exit.

The Hoops need a reshuffle and given his age, now looks like the perfect time for him to head south to the Premier League.

Christie is versatile, hardworking and is capable of weighing in with his fair share of goals and assists for the team.

The player wouldn’t cost a fortune and he could prove a shrewd addition to both Norwich and Burnley during the summer transfer window.
