Report: Arsenal told club will speak about £33m star; he wants World Cup spot

Arsenal have been offered encouragement in their pursuit of Club Brugge and Netherlands forward, Noa Lang, with his representatives keen to engage in talks soon.

reports that Lang’s entourage has made their feelings known about their client’s future. It lies away from Club Brugge, and both Arsenal and AC Milan are sniffing.

Crucially, Lang is said to want a move to a bigger club in order to secure a place in the Dutch squad for the 2022 World Cup. The young forward has started to make an impression at international level already. Clearly, he fancies his chances in Qatar.

Previous reports have claimed Arsenal have a long-standing interest in Lang. It’s been reported that Brugge could ask for as much as £33m to sell their man, however. Towards the end of the summer window, we reported on TBR how the Gunners were preparing a £25m bid for Lang.

Noa Lang enjoyed a stunning last term with Brugge. He hit 17 goals and 11 assists in all competitions. Still just 22, he has made two appearances for the Netherlands.

TBR’s View: Noa Lang fits Arsenal like a glove

How long the Gunners give Nicolas Pepe is another argument and discussion. But if they’re thinking of an upgrade and taking a punt on someone younger and cheaper, Lang might be the one.

£33m or so is not a huge amount in Premier League terms. Especially when you look at the upside Lang brings to table. Versatile, quick, with an eye for both a pass and a goal, there’s a lot to like about the Dutchman.

Arsenal do have some exciting young talent already, as we know. Lang, then, fits the profile of player that Arteta and Edu have been going for.

If Lang’s agents want talks right now, then put simply, Arsenal simply have to get themselves at the front of the queue.
