Report: Newcastle want Burnley star along with two PL rivals; could get him for free
Newcastle United are one of the sides interested in signing Jack Cork, that his future with Burnley is looking uncertain.
Cork has made over 100 Premier League appearances since his £10 million move to Turf Moor in 2017. However, the Mirror reports that he is out of contract at the end of the season.

And with the report noting that Burnley are in the middle of a potential takeover, it appears that it may be some time before there is any clarity on what the future may hold for Cork.
It seems that a host of Premier League rivals are now monitoring the situation. , Brighton and Hove Albion and Sheffield United also want the 31-year-old, along with Newcastle.

The Magpies, of course, are no strangers to signing players on free transfers after they have left Burnley. Jeff Hendrick arrived at St James’ Park in the summer after almost four years with the Clarets.
Cork – who earns £38,000-a-week, – would arguably be an incredibly shrewd signing. Sean Dyche recently labelled the one-time England international a ‘really strong player’ for the club (via ).
And signing him on a free transfer would ensure that Steve Bruce’s transfer kitty next summer does not take a huge hit.
But with a couple of rivals already in the running, and some time left before Cork’s contract expires, Newcastle will have several hurdles to clear before a deal is done.
